The dispenser is equipped with a power switch and a light switch. In addition a mixer and a refrigeration switch individually operate each bowl.
They are located in the switch boxes protected by the switch box covers. Their functions are as follows

POWER SWITCH
“O” position -off in the “O” position power is turned off to all functions
“ I ” position -on in the “ I ” position power is turned on to all functions, the fan motor runs

LIGHT SWITCH
“O” position -off in the “O” position all top cover lights are off
“ I ” position -on in the “ I ” position all top cover lights are on, provided the power switch is on

MIXER AND REFRIGERATION SWITCH
“ I ” position -mixer and refrigeration on: “soft drink mode”
“O” position -off
“ II ” position - mixer and refrigeration on: “GRANITA mode”

TO OPERATE DISPENSOR
1. set power switch to “ I ” position
2. set the mixer an refrigeration switches
-to the “ I ” position to get soft drinks
-to the “ II ” position to get “GRANITA”

OPERATION
Important – always make sure that BRIX ( % of sugar content ) of granita mix is over 13
Always leave the dispenser on as the refrigeration stops automatically when the granita reaches the proper thickness or density. The mixers will continue to turn

MIXING
Use product bases designed to run in granita freezers.
If natural juices ( e.g. squeezed orange or lemon ) or sugarless products ( e.g. coffee ) are used, dissolve 150 to 200 grams of sugar per liter.

FILLING
After the unit is in operation, periodically observe the level of the mix in the bowl.
To shorten recovery time and to increase production, the bowl should be refilled after the mix level is lower than half of evaporator cylinder.

PRODUCT SETTLING
If product in the dispenser overnight, set the mixer and refrigeration switches to the “I” position for at least one hour before switching unit off.
This eliminates any blocks of ice forming which could result in damage to mixers or their motors when the unit is switched back on , and a damage charge

DO NOT TURN OFF MIXERS WHEN FROZEN PRODUCT IS IN THE BOWL
If not agitated product may freeze into a solid block of ice, do not restart unit if this happens until all ice is melted

 

 

 

SLUSH MACHINE INSTRUCTIONS

START WITH 2 1/2 GALLONS OF MIXTURE PER SIDE,
(EACH 1/2 GALLON CONTAINER MAKES 2 1/2 GALLONS OR 40 8-0Z DRINKS.)

1. POUR ½ GALLON DRINK MIX INTO EACH SIDE OF MACHINE
2. POUR ½ GALLON OF ALCHOL INTO EACH SIDE OF MACHINE
3. FILL WITH WATER TO 2 ½ GALLON MARK ( 1 ½ GALLONS )
4. TURN ON MACHINE
AT ROOM TEMPERATURE MIXTURE WILL TAKE 1 TO 1 1/2 HOURS TO FREEZE .

NEVER LET MACHINE GET MORE THAN 1/2 WAY EMPTY BEFORE REFILLING,
IF YOU SEE WHITE AUGERS YOU HAVE GONE TOO FAR AND MUST REFILL AND
WAIT FOR MIXTURE TO REACH THE RIGHT CONSISTENCY BEFORE USING.

IF USING ALCOHOL, MIXTURE TAKES 1 1/2 HOUR TO 2 HOURS TO
FREEZE DOWN. FOR FASTER SERVICE PRE MIX AND CHILL .

CAPACITIES
MACHINE CAN OUTPUT 5 GALLONS PER HOUR OR 80 8-0Z DRINKS,.
AND 50 8-0Z DRINKS PER HOUR WITH ALCOHOL, (DUE TO FREEZE DOWN TIME)
EACH SIDE ONLY HOLDS 2 1/2 GALLONS.
